Well, yes, except the darn thing went downstream and then turned around and came back.  After that it turned sideways and then a bit later it disappeared.  I know, it's a stick and I wasn't paying attention to the tide which no doubt changed direction and that's why the stick came back.  I won't ponder how or why it turned sideways.
