Mixed bag

A frustrating start to the day with a defeat for Joe's footie team in the league cup semi final. Garforth were the better team on the day - but it stung. Joe was cross - also because he was subbed off in the 2nd half.
The boys then went off to Wembley with my brother-in-law and nephews for England v Switzerland. A better result with a 2-1 win in a great game (apparently). Joe wanted Kane to score...and he did.
So, an afternoon and evening with Ava. Such a lovely time - she's great company and is showing no signs of being an obnoxious teenager (yet) despite being 15 and has every right to be. We walked the dog, ate lunch, watched Greys and then headed to the cinema later to see Ambulance - the only thing we both fancied. The appeal for me was Jake Gyllenhaal; for Ava it was the thought of a 2 hour car chase-y blood bath.
