Mind The Gap

Went into Bognor today and wandered along the sea front. This town once had royal patronage, but it is a real shadow of its former self now. The pier, like many around the UK is very dilapidated, and by all accounts much shorter now than the once grand 1000 ft it once was, with paddle steamers mooring at the far end.

I think it would be the final indignity. To jump off this pier I think you are probably at your wits end, to survive and then get prosecuted for your actions...That really would be a bad day.
