Sicily

We docked in the western port of Trapani and visited the ancient hilltop town of Erice. If I had room in my bag (small hand baggage only) I would have bought one of the local bags woven from local hemp and colourful clothing rags (extra). The old windmill used to lift the sea water into the salt pans for drying. The recent showers have brought a flush of wild flowers, but soon it will be arid and 40C around here.

I have switched off commenting because the internet is slow and wobbly. I will try to post each day but will not be able to comment - sorry!
