Mothering Sunday

Today in the UK is Mothering Sunday, which this year fell the day after the night when we put the clocks forward.  In the end we did miss the church service where Violet would have taken part as a a Brownie, but despite her cheerful appearance here, she has not been at all well.  I received some lovely cards and gifts as usual and this evening we had a takeaway as neither of the two mothers (myself and Daughter #2) wanted to cook and there were no volunteers from amongst the others!
