Bottoms Up

Hats and gloves were a must today. Despite the bright sunshine the wind was bone chilling. On the river a few Canada geese and mallards hugged the shore but the seagulls took to the sky. We’re now monitoring the trees and coves for the return of one of our favorite seasonal water birds, the double-crested cormorant. It should happen within the next two weeks :) • We were thrilled the Oscar for Best Picture went to CODA! What a fabulous film! There were so many things to cheer about last night with one big exception. Did you see it? MrsP and I were disgusted and deeply disappointed by the display of violence and vulgar language, at an Awards show, and on live TV! The actor’s behavior dishonored and tainted so many special moments and people. It’s generated much discussion in our house over the past 24 hours • Peace & Love to you, and to Ukraine
