Beware

My stroll took me over to the nearby community garden, where you can rent a small plot from the city. I'm guessing there are maybe thirty sections available, and I love walking over there to see what's been planted and how. Every plot has its own personality. Some are fenced, some have arbors and seating areas, some have little greenhouses. Others are wild and disorganized. It's a wide open space that gets lots of sun and is much hotter than our own yard just a few blocks away. So there are tomatoes in the ground already, some a foot tall! Many gardeners haven't started anything at all yet, but the scarecrow is on duty nevertheless.

There may be a storm coming in tonight. The forecast says thundershowers, which is unusual for this area. We'll see.
