Lost soles

Is someone setting up blips in Winchester today? These look arranged but are exactly where I found then in an alley. It's the kind of thing my English teacher would have given us at school as the start point for creative writing. And I, being the science-type, would have inwardly groaned and prayed for the lesson to be over. Or slept. I seemed to get away with a lot of dozing in English.
