Neighbours

My over-the-back-fence neighbours. They have two names- spurwinged plover and masked lapwing.

This morning I saw the moon and 4 planets in close proximity. I didn’t expect to as most mornings are foggy or have very low clouds. There were drifts of fluffy clouds through which I could see the fuzzy moon and Venus. I went out several times and suddenly there they were for barely a minute- the bright blob of Venus, a small sickle moon, below them the spark of Saturn, and above them was Mars. I was so thrilled to have seen them.

The fog didn’t flow in until after I’d hung out my washing.
