Darling Buds

The main road through the village to Wilsden is lined with wonderful flowering cherry and almond trees and each one has a clump of daffodils around the base. These have only just come into flower, late as everywhere else, so on my way to church this morning I decided to take a closer look at the trees to see if there were any signs of their beautiful blossom.

Here you can see the little buds appearing with the daffodils underneath.

So there is hope that the Darling buds will fulfil their promise of blossom in May but if you look at last year's blip on the same day you can see that the trees were already full of flowers!
