Mystery

Blossom on the tree we bought labelled a Victoria plum. Couldn’t understand why it never had proper plums. They were always a strange shape and very small and never ripened, always remaining green. 
Last year I tried one and it was deliciously sweet. It has turned out to be ( I’m pretty sure) a greengage. 
It’s got quite a lot of blossom this year so hoping for a good crop.
Been looking after Arthur today who was sent home from nursery supposedly poorly. Once here he was fine! The schools and nurseries are so worried about every little symptom at the moment it seems. I dont really blame them but it’s very disruptive and worrying for families.
