I was excited to see I'd got a pay rise, backdated. However, when I did some basic calculations, I could see that it's 2% of my part time salary at most. Meanwhile, the price of a gluten free loaf has gone up from 3.50 to 4.00, since I last bought one.

Two jobs today. The first was all right, apart from when nearly all the children started crying at once. In the second job, the children are still telling me they hate me, mainly because I won't do everything they want, such as allowing them to go on a spontaneous playdate (so spontaneous that the other mum/carer knew nothing about it! ) Hard work, but Steve had prepped supper when I got back. I just had to parachute in a veggie omelette.
