Energy Centre

This is the Queens Quay District Heating Project Energy Centre in Clydebank.

It is the UK’s largest water source heat pump heat network.
Part of the wider £250M regeneration of the former John Brown shipyard site, now known as Queens Quay, the system works by extracting water from the Clyde to generate heat for nearby residential and commercial/public buildings.

Extras include the Energy Centre’s 30m high chimney, part of the interior (shot through the window) and a couple of shots incorporating the adjacent Titan crane.
