Fort Fisher

and the aquarium.  Sunday funday with the family.  Fort Fisher was a Confederate fort during the Civil War. It protected the port of Wilmington from 1861 until its capture by the Union soldiers in 1865. It's a beautiful spot on the point and this was the view from one of the windows inside the aquarium. There are picnic areas overlooking the sea and you can ferry between Ft. Fisher and a couple of spots in the area.
