Bistek Tagalog

Bistek Tagalog on rice, and garlicy broccoli.

I got some Meyer lemons this week which meant I had to make Bistek Tagalog. I've never had calamansi, but I have it on the authority of my husband, who lived in the Philippines for a few years as a child, that Meyer lemons are the best of the substitutes I have tried.
