Out on our bikes

It’s been yet another lovely day of blue sky, sunshine and warm temperatures. We went out on our bikes mid-afternoon and had an enjoyable ride.

Back on the 9th of March I blipped the box containing our new tumbling composter https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2948138792990541936.  Hubby has finally assembled the composter, which is sitting in a sunny part of the garden. The first chamber is in use, so it’s now a waiting game. The extra is a Pepi Pod that we saw this afternoon.  It was painted by children from the Meadowbank Primary School.

There are 15,918 new community cases today, with the seven day rolling average at 14,969, compared to 17,111 a week ago.  There are 817 people in hospital, down from 842 yesterday, with 24 people now in intensive care. The 14 new deaths reported today included people who have died over the past six days but were only recently notified to the ministry. The total number of deaths of people with Covid-19 is now 317.
