A blustery day
Woke this morning to steady rain, which after weeks of hardly and rain at all is very welcome. There has been no real growth of grass out on the hills or in the nearby fields so hopefully now we might see a bit of green coming through.
The rain has given way to blustery showers with really strong winds. Took a drive out this afternoon looking for a blip and the car was getting buffeted all over the place.
This highland cow is one of a herd kept in fields at the foot of Glamaig. She had just had a calf but it was tucked in round the back of her and was n't for showing its face!,which I finally managed to get a blip of! Pretty certain it was a very new born calf as I could still see its umbilical cord, such a cute wee thing!
The herd are right by the main road to Portree and you often see people stopped by the side of the road taking pictures of them. Thought I would play tourist today and do the same!
