Nikon F Photomic FTn
This is one of three Nikon F's that I own, this one being a Photomic FTn from 1967. It was purchased by it's previous owner in Saigon in 1972, not sure if it seen any action - looks too clean for that, but who knows? If only it could talk!
The F was enormously successful; the first SLR system to be adopted and used seriously by the general population of professional photographers, especially by those photographers covering the Vietnam War. Some 862,600 bodies were produced between 1959 and 1972, many of which still work perfectly today due to their tank like build.
A true icon of the 20th Century!
