Wide Wednesday: Sky

Until this morning, we’ve not been able to see the sky from this spot and angle in our back garden through our very overgrown mahonia and other evergreen shrubs so this morning we took the bull by the horns (or the secateurs by the handles) to start cutting them all down.

We’ve decided to cut it down completely and re-plant the entire bed which had got very messy. As you can see, there’s a bit more pruning to do then it will be out with the electric saw to get through the main trunks and, hopefully, digging the roots out.

It was a lovely morning for it.
