A change in the weather
Last night's freezing rain was promised to be the end of the bad stuff for the foreseeable future, until we get the mid-June snowstorm, that is. It had started with snow but then the F.R. came quite heavily, stopping around three. We then had a rapid warming until about 7, when the temperatures plummeted again.
God knows what this means for the hibernating plants and animals. The ice shelf in the back is still there (the sun hardly reaches it) but the rest of the garden is pretty much snow free.
Next on the agenda is, apparently, a special rain and/or strong wind warning.
Covid rates are picking up again. Who'd have thought that removing all levels of protection would have led to a spike in transmission rates?
