Ecco! Gelato!

This was meant to be a play on words in Italian, indicating that it was freezing outside in Sherborne today.  But "Ecco gelato" means "here is ice cream", whereas "I am frozen" is translated as "sono congelato" – according to Google Translate.

Which reminds me of the little Italian that I once knew: when acting as duty officer while detached to the Italian AF base at Decimomannu in the 1980s we had about three phrases to learn in Italian, one of which was "Io sono l'ufficiale inglese".  The guidance didn't then explain how to indicate to the Italian at the other end of any phone call that one knew no more of their language.  But I never had to say those words, except in jest in the bar.
