Matt’s birthday! Our only vague plan was to go to the cinema today, and first thing Matt said “should we just go now?!”… which is how we ended up watching Batman at 10am!

It was just us and 2 other people in the screen, absolutely delightful. Glad we opted for Director’s Hall though, couldn’t have done a 3 hour movie in one of those little seats.

By the time we left the sun was back out and town was packed. We went for some lunch in Honest, then headed home for a chilled afternoon. Had leftovers for tea, watched Ferris Bueller, then remembered at about 11pm that we hadn’t had any cake.

Thankfully my dropped cake and shoddy icing repair job didn’t impact the tastiness.
