The majestic Pikes Peak watches over the quintessentially Victorian village of Manitou Springs. Tucked away in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Manitou Springs was known as a place of healing waters, drawing many ill and downtrodden to be refreshed by the various springs in the area; several springs are on the main street through the town. One can also catch a cog railway train to the top of Pikes Peak—14,110 ft.
