River in Spate

I've been watching the River Dee, opposite where I live, rising all day. When I got up this morning the area bottom left behind the trees was river bank - now it is under water.

It's been higher, so there's nothing to worry about, but this is a sign that the snow is starting to melt and winters' grip is loosening hold on the uplands.

Spring, and summer, are coming.

ETA - river still rising, suddenly risen again - quite a lot in half an hour actually.
