WELL AND TRULY APRIL FOOLED!

Hello Lovely Blippers,

We pride ourselves on being quite clever and never thought we would get caught by Mrs. HCB on April Fool's Day, but we did!

Because we have had some sunny days - and it's quite sunny this morning, but it's still cold and frosty - we were all getting excited and thought that Hoggy might be coming out of hibernation, so we have been preparing lots of different food that we know he likes to eat.  Of course, we have some chocolate too - because Hoggy is especially fond of chocolate - so  we thought that we would all be together again this weekend.

Today, we went to have a look around the log pile where we thought Hoggy had hibernated and when we saw a little nose poking out, we jumped up and down with glee because thought we had found him.  His eyes looked a bit strange though, so we were a bit concerned - but just thought they were blue with the cold!

Of course, we weren't going to wake him up, but we thought that if we made lots of noise and started shouting "HOGGY, HOGGY, HOGGY" he would shout “OI, OI, OI” and would then crawl out so we would be reunited.

We were a bit confused though, because when Hoggy went into hibernation, he was all red and sparkly, but today he looked rather brown and bedraggled and as we said, had funny coloured eyes.  And then....when we poked him, nothing happened and we thought that he had died!!  "Oh no", we said to each other, "Poor Hoggy's dead - what are we going to do?" and we were all very upset.

But then we noticed a BIG sign just behind the log pile and you can see what it says!  We have been well and truly "April Fooled"! However, as you can see, hopefully Hoggy will be with us next week - we just need the weather to warm up a bit!  We had snow yesterday but hopefully, it will get warmer during the week - so watch this space!
