WFH, then off into town to WFHH and mind the dug whilst She went to the dentist.
(Edinburgh blip folk... I stopped off at Agitate on Haymarket Terrace. A shop that stocks photo books and zines - I left with a Field Notes - 37? And a zine by Kevin McCallum of his trip across Sri Lanka. In other photo book related news, Jim Mortram also released his Small Town Inertia stuff on Cafe Royal later in the day... so I was £30 down on the day. But so much richer from having these fine publications)
After she returned from the dentist, I sped home to tend the boy who's not at Benmore this week.
He's still testing negative but feeling lousy.
He did however manage toad in the hole but a hot bath left him drained ( see what I did there???)
So after some chat, he retired and I delved into the purchases as well as revisting my other Cafe Royal purchases of yore.
Then I went to update Strava with the days mileage. As it synched, I noticed I'd scored a 9th best time ever on a segment. Nothing fancy, its just a sprint along Bread St, a sharp zig zag zig around East Fountainbridge, past the job centre and sharp sprint to the far end of Lauriston St. 1 min 15 secs.
Curiosity got the better of me. How much quicker would I need to go to claim the number one spot? Well actually quite a bit. Fastest time is 57 seconds so I'd need to up the wattage considerably. Oh well. Then. I wonder about 2nd or 3rd? Still under a minute. Right. Maybe I should just aim to go up a place or two, which would also be kinda cool. But wait? Who's 2 places ahead of me? With 1 minute 13 seconds??? Its Her!!!! How the....?!!?
