That's no joke ......

....... or maybe that should have been "that's snow joke"!

I know it's April 1st ... otherwise known as April Fools' Day ..... but I wasn't impressed with what "prank" this year sent us this morning!

Waking to a light covering of snow wasn't the best of starts but this was quickly eclipsed by finding we had no water!

At some point over night a water main had burst & we were without water ...... big bummer!

By 9am we did have a tiny trickle from the kitchen tap but nothing upstairs which is the location of our bathroom & only loo!

Did mean I could have a coffee which made things look a bit better! :-)

Not much fun waiting for a trickle to part-fill a bucket which then had to be lugged upstairs for use in lieu of flushing!

Thankfully by 11am we had full running water again! Hooray! Something like this makes you realise how much you take modern life for granted!

I was pleased to see Mrs Blackbird posing for me so beautifully .... she had even chosen a spot in the sunshine which had recently appeared :-)

Extra: A little Robin that popped in early for food before the snow had fully melted!
