Before the sleet

Woke to a layer of snow on roofs but little on the ground.  It soon melted.

Pleasant cycle ride to town.  It didn't feel that cold with the sun out.  By the time I reached the bridge - main blip - the sky had darkened, temperature dropped and sleet falling.  Lasted only a minute. 
Market quiet for Friday, perhaps cold weather a disincentive. 
After lunch took hound for walk in sunshine.  Clouds beautiful against a clear blue sky.
Spent afternoon catching up with messages and reading The New European newspaper and book.
