A day of two halves!

We walked along the coast, mostly by hotels, to Camara de Lobos this morning. ( nearly 3 hours )

A traditional fishing village which inspired Sir Winston Churchill to paint its lovely surroundings.

Camara de Lobos is also the home of poncha, a mixture of lemon juice, honey and sugarcane spirit ( rum )…you can see Ros enjoying a glass!

Then we got the bus back to Funchal, and went up the cable car to Monte ( 3,363 ft above sea level )…see extra photo.
