Mr Blue Sky

This, I think, is a purple heron ... in French, Héron Pourpré, in Latin, Ardea Purpurea.

If it is not a Purple Heron, I am ready to be corrected.

I was walking to where I know a pair of buzzards are nesting when I surprised it in the trees - well, I don't know who was the most surprised - I wasn't expecting to see it where it was.

This is a first for me, never seen one of these before.
