Remnants of Last Summer

You would think that with all the flowering trees and bulbs available right now, I would choose something a little more colorful.  For whatever reason, this shot spoke to me.  

I did a couple of turns around the botanical gardens this morning and wondered where the week went. I did read a book and clean out some closets, as well as go to a couple of doctor appointments and get a second booster, so it wasn't a total loss.  

The FDA announced on Monday that it might be a good idea to get another booster if one is greater than 4 months from the last and over 50....I was six months to the day from the first booster, and 50 is way in the rear view mirror, so I got my shot later that day.  The evidence is equivocal with some thought being that there might be a different vaccine available in the fall.  We decided that we needed to protect ourselves now,  especially with a new baby to arrive in a matter of weeks.
