Think I might have discovered an excellent solution to our kid sleeping woes - ie the battle of E freaking out when he wakes without someone else in the bed vs I can’t sleep with a maniacal whirling thumper in bed with me.
They both fell asleep in my bed. Left them there instead of carrying them back to their beds, and decamped to the spare room. Had a reaaaaaaalllly nice sleep…
Busy enough day: ballet for A and milkshakes/digger snap/colouring for E and I, bookshop for birthday presents, home for a bit, puzzled over whether the person climbing onto. the balcony next door was a burglar or our new neighbour, had a power nap, delivered A to a birthday party, lunch with J and E, back to pick up A, home, polished off a quick bit of work, and then over to Pascoe to spend the night with S while Joey is away at a family reunion.
Lovely evening - prattling, discussing favourite songs, gnocchi, cups of tea, dressing changes, Kobo synching, Unforgotten, footy, ice cream and strawberries.
In bed now, listening to the rain on the roof, and contemplating how much I’m going to enjoy the end of daylight savings tonight. Picked the right night to have away from the kids…
