Instant refreshments

What ever happened to the days of sitting on a train and having tea brought to you in a silver teapot with China cups and saucers? I’m showing my age! For a while, in about 2009, we had an old Pullman train with luxuriously wide seats, that went non stop from Shrewsbury to Marylebone. They served afternoon tea and cakes, and at Christmas they gave you free mince pies!! Sadly the service didn’t last. It wasn’t profitable enough. Such a shame.
