The confines of paving

The periphery of a car park in Abergavenny is being enhanced to provide a green corridor, and so far they've stripped some patches of turf and taken up some unfriendly concrete slabs. The slabs are what was here, and I'm amazed at the way the roots have obediently formed themselves into a grid pattern to rival New York City or Milton Keynes!
