San Michele

They call Lucca the city of a hundred churches and it feels like Mr P and I have been round most of them today!
Cloudy and chilly start but it wasn’t long until the sun came out. It warmed up a bit but still only about 10c°. The Italians were complaining about the cold. The thermometer starts rising tomorrow thankfully. In addition to our many church visits we went to an excellent exhibition and climbed up Lucca‘s tallest tower. A very yummy lunch and lots of Italian bonhomie sustained us. Tired tonight.
