Marching again .

In my role as President of the SNP I was speaking at the march and rally held in Arbroath today , in part to belatedly mark the 700th Anniversary of the Declaration ( events two years ago and last year proving impossible) but also of course to assert Scotland’s right to choose its own government and future , a principle that was enunciated in that document seven centuries ago.

This was how the procession looked from the inside just before we marched off from the Inchcape Park.
