I go to Glasgow for lunch with Megan. She’s in fine spirits, as usual, back from her Orkney trip, with her US visa interview in Belfast booked, and heading off to Austria skiing with Claire tomorrow.

We have an excellent dall and curry at Ranjit’s Kitchen followed by a stroll round Queen’s Park. Then she goes for a video interview and I head off to Owen’s.

Owen has tidied his flat. His brother, Cameron, is arriving from California tonight. Owen is planning to pick him up at the airport, but the car got broken into last night and somehow the battery is now flat. Nothing is simple.

In Dumfries I catch up with Angus. We go to an Italian by the river - a very different meal to the curry at lunchtime. Then a pint at the Riverside and a movie back at the flat. We both fall asleep before it finishes ;)
