Been a good day  My grandson was heading back north so I went out to Washdyke and met him and got a lovely package of freshly caught blue cod. He and my son had been out to sea fishing yesterday. Oh my word it was beautiful
He just left home at the beginning of the year and is working and flatting two hours north of here. Taking his dog back for the first time plus a huge trailor of firewood, 6 cord in fact. He had a  chilly bin of farm meat, lovely new warm sheets and goodness knows what else. I had taken him a big box of preserved apples and beetroot so he was well pleased with all the spoils. He text me earlier to say he was home and everything was unloaded and away. He is nearly 22 and has a girlfriend for the first time so am pleased for him
Had a lovely visit from a niece so all in all a good day
