Im and I went to the 'Francis Bacon: Man and Beast' exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts this morning.
I wasn't convinced that I liked Bacon's oeuvre, but finding an exhibition's title or theme unappealing seems to be becoming a fairly reliable indicator that I will appreciate an exhibition, and (indeed) I found this one interesting and enjoyable. It was well curated: I found the exhibition texts and narrative a bit unnecessary, but the collected pieces together certainly seemed more than the sum of their parts.
