More yellow

As if we don’t have enough yellow in the garden with all the daffodils, this Mahonia is adding to the show. Mahonia are good value because their leaves put on a variety of colours throughout the year, and in the autumn they have lovely purple berries.
We watched the University Boat Race this afternoon, and I remembered how when I was at school we used to fervently support one or other of the teams. I used to wear a pale blue “golly” to favour Cambridge. Sadly they lost today.
