Our French Friends XI

We had a lovely visit with our friends Marie-Madeleine and Sylvain and their three children today--the first time we've seen them in two years--the last time was 19-2-2020. They came in from their home outside Paris for lunch.  We had a good meal together (Marylee made a blanquette de veau  (a traditional French veal stew)  and an apple crumble for dessert    (traditional American).  After lunch, we took a long walk through the Butte aux Cailles, a nearby old neighborhood and returned for tea and cookies before they left to return home.  It was a wonderful afternoon!]
