A different kind of bird
We went to the air show at Shaw AFB today. Perfect weather, a warm, sunny day with a nice breeze to keep you from getting too hot on the pavement. We got a good walk in as we had to park way out of the main area, then stood and watched the show for about 4 hours! I told the hubby we should take the camp chairs. He was the one having leg hurts as standing still so long does not help his knees. Lesson learned here is he probably will never go back!!
The highlight of the show was the US Air Force Thunderbirds. One up and one upside down here! And the pilots are visible! I was so happy this shot worked considering they were going so fast and I was handholding the Canon with the 70-300mm lens on it. Not perfect but I was happy with it! A collage in the extras of more Thunderbird action.
The F16 Viper in the second collage in the extra was piloted by a female pilot! How proud is she that she is a woman flying fighter jets!!
The second plane in the collage is an older model jet and the flyover together was to commemorate 25 years of the air show.
The third collage is some other air show action.
A good day out!
