Monkey heaven

After a bad night sleep due to lizards and beetles I was up and packed by 6am! Today we had a 3 hour drive followed by a one and half hour boat ride to our next destination which is Tortuguero. You can only access it by boat there are no cars at all!

The hotel we are staying at is amazing everywhere you look there are monkeys, they are quite cheeky and come right up to you looking for food.

This afternoon we went into Tortuguero village, it is on the Caribbean Sea so has a very Caribbean feel about it, it was so relaxed, we found a lovely bar playing Costa Rican music right on the river side. There were also a few trinket shops so I think we are going to pop back tomorrow.
