Man at Work
There was a well known advertisement on the telly featuring little boys talking like adults about how there was a project to be done and one boy asks: Do it yourself?
The other says, Nah get some bloke in.
The first says, Nah do it yourself.
She's a pretty big job his little mate replies.
The end line is: DIY it's in our DNA.
Well we lean more to getting some bloke in to do jobs but the forester decided with some advice he could tackle replacing the waterproofing sheets under our deck. The boards on the deck are spaced and under the deck is a large storage area and it is better to keep the assorted junk valuable gardening equipment dry. One neighbour gave advice on what materials to buy and what fittings would be needed. Another leant his power tools. The timber needed wasn't available at the hardware so he took some timber we already had down to his brothers and used his skill saw to cut it into thinner strips. I was the assistant holding up the sheets while he screwed them in place. The job is finished with the help of everyone.

Sung by Bruno Mars
If you ever find yourself stuck in the middle of the sea
I'll sail the world to find you
If you ever find yourself lost in the dark and you can't see
I'll be the light to guide you
We'll find out what we're made of
When we are called to help our friends in need
You can count on me like one, two, three
I'll be there
And I know when I need it, I can count on you like four, three, two
And you'll be there
'Cause that's what friends are supposed to do, oh, yeah
