Broccoli cheese

Out with Nigel for a long walk notwithstanding the strong wind. The cardboard I had put down at the allotment has almost all flown away! These days I feel a lot like Penelope with the shroud she was weaving during the day and undoing at night, only that the wind is the one who undoes things for me!

LDC has been given a lot of books to read and one of them is a huge cookery book. It’s about the science of cooking more than anything, but it contains a lot of recipes as well. NSLLDC decided we should try the broccoli cheese one and tonight he and I joined forces to prepare dinner. It was a lovely time of laughter and a bit of learning for NSLLDC as well (do you really need to get a new piece of cutlery every time you need to stir the sauce???). The broccoli cheese was amazing! NSLLDC is a bit messy, but a good cook!
