Rosé

I have taken some beautiful scenery shots today, but I think this photo sums up my weekend better - warm sunshine seen through a slight haze of rosé wine...

We met up with Italian friends. They are worried about the state of Italy. It has no Prime Minister and shortly will have no President either. The election resulted in a deadlock, the economy is on its knees. Unemployment, particularly youth unemployment, is high. They are talking about the possibility of social unrest in the cities...

But like most Italians, our friends are warm, passionate, noisy, humorous. It's impossible not to be in love with them...
