The summer bunting is up.

Yesterday I was sitting on a chair; leant over to pick up something and my iPad slipped. I managed to stop it falling but it caught the edge of my specs. I thought no more of it until much later when I was trying to decide whether or not the horizon looked a bit off horizontal. A light came on and I turned my specs upside down on the table and sure enough they were a bit uneven. Since I’m unsteady enough without a wonky horizon I decided that getting my specs adjusted was a Monday morning job.
Monday morning came and as I was drying my hair I looked in the mirror and what looked back at me? Not quite a black eye but definitely a black shadow under my left eye. So my specs weren’t the only minor casualty!
I’d ordered wine so had to wait until it was delivered before I could head down to town. Specsavers is having a major renovation and the road has been partly blocked by scaffolding. When I got down there I noticed two planks crossed against the door. Yes they were shut! I phoned them and luckily they will be back in the town shop tomorrow!
I couldn’t think of anything else I wanted in town so headed straight back home. But as I passed my hairdresser I thought I might as well make the morning useful so popped to have my hair cut.
