Wheel swap
Masses done today including some considerable time talking to Social Services who, despite the colossal problems they face post pandemic are trying their hardest to support us.
B.Gas have been to repair the boiler problem I mentioned on last week. This was hot on the heals of a letter from them today trying to sell us a new boiler. Who'd have guessed it.
That said, the guy turned up with the part, which according to the manufacturers build information was the correct one for the version we have installed. Success we thought. I foolishly said this will be your quickest job of the day. That thought was soon torpedoed.
Sadly, it seems the part we have isn't the one the manufacturer said it is. It is the one I identified for a similar model. So, a return visit now planned for tomorrow.
The wheels are the summer tyres ready to be put back on the car. Just hoping we don't get snow now!
Once fact I have found running the winter tyres is that they increase fuel consumption reducing mpg by 5mpg. They are fabulous in snow, on ice and in the wet, but cost lots more to use.
