"It's a new dawn, It's a new day....
"It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life
For me
And I'm feeling good"
I thought there would only be one box but it has expanded and expanded.
Tonight I did that usual Sunday thing and I got myself organised for the working week ahead but it is no ordinary working week, it is my first working week in Angus as Strategic Director - People.
In my taking to work bag, or rather full car boot will be:
Books (tick). I hope I get a shelf or perhaps a cupboard? Note the one on the left, "Failure is not an Option"
My USB Christmas star. (tick). I wonder if there will be a fuss about plugging it into my laptop in December?
Materials given to me from Angus prior to starting. (tick). I have read them all but this week I will work on joining all the bits together and try hard not to say, "In South Ayrshire......"
My pre-work swim stuff. (tick). Essential start to any day!
My lunch. (tick). The Ayr canteen staff came up with many ways to mail me my usual daily lunch but there comes a time when even I realise I am going to have to make my own pieces.
Coffee. (tick). For the hypo moments.
Camomile tea. (tick). For the hyper moments.
The paperweight Frank always feared. (tick). No explanation needed.
And finally and most importantly, my sense of humour, my commitment and sense of purpose to do the best I can for and with the people of Angus.
And now to bed.......
