Mono Monday - Different Viewpoint

I guess this is not the way in which we normally view trees 'lying on the ground' but in the storm damaged John Muir Woodland there is no shortage of horizontal rather than vertical trees. It also gives us a glimpse of the root system which is usually hidden beneath the ground.
